Zazn Privacy Policy

This policy covers the native Zazn app for iPhone. Zazn is operated by Aventine Labs, LLC (“we,” “us” or “our”). For privacy questions, contact hellopalumbo@gmail.com.
Your meditation stays on your device
Zazn plays audio and displays images included with the app. You do not need a Zazn account. Meditation playback works offline when Apple has already verified an active trial or lifetime purchase on your device. Starting a purchase or restoring purchases requires a connection to Apple.
The app stores your timer duration, countdown, bell choices, sound selections, volume preferences, guided meditation bookmarks, and saved sound mix names and selections on your device. It also remembers whether your Saved sections are expanded or collapsed. These settings let the app remember your choices. Zazn does not send them, or your meditation activity, to us and does not maintain a developer-hosted meditation history.
Zazn does not include advertising, tracking, analytics or a third-party crash-reporting service. It does not request access to your microphone, camera, contacts, location or health records.
Audio and AI narration
The guided meditations are prerecorded using AI-generated narration created with ElevenLabs before inclusion in the app. Listening does not connect to ElevenLabs or send your information to an AI service. Zazn does not record your voice, generate personalised sessions or create a personal voice profile. Bundled photos, fonts and sounds also load locally, without contacting their source websites.
Feedback and email
Feedback in Settings opens your email app with our address. Opening this link does not send a message automatically.
If you choose to email us, we receive your email address, any sender name supplied by your email service, your message and any attachments you include. We use this information to respond, investigate issues and improve Zazn. Please include only information you want to share; the app does not automatically attach your preferences or meditation activity.
Messages are handled through our Gmail account and the email services involved in delivery, including Google's practices described in its Privacy Policy. These providers may process messages in countries outside your own. We use them to receive and respond to support requests. We do not sell feedback information, share it for targeted advertising or add you to a marketing list. We may disclose correspondence if required by law or necessary to protect legal rights. We keep it only as long as needed to address your request and related follow-up, or to meet applicable legal obligations.
If no email app opens, you can choose Copy email address. This copies only our support address to your clipboard; Zazn does not read your clipboard.
Removing your information
You can remove individual bookmarks and saved mixes in the app and change your timer preferences at any time. Deleting Zazn from your device removes its local app data. Offloading the app is different and may preserve that data.
Deleting the app does not delete Apple's transaction records, refund a purchase or restart a trial. Reinstalling and restoring purchases uses your original Apple purchase history.
Your device's backup or transfer features may include Zazn's local settings. Restoring a backup may restore them. Manage or delete backups through the relevant Apple or computer backup settings; we cannot access or remove your backups.
For access, correction or deletion of feedback you sent us, email hellopalumbo@gmail.com. We may need to confirm that the request comes from the sender. If information must be retained to meet a legal obligation, we will explain that when responding. We cannot retrieve local app data from your device.
Apple services and external links
Zazn provides track titles, narrator names, artwork, duration, playback status and progress to iOS so you can use system media controls, including the Lock Screen. Your device may display that information while a session is active.
Apple may process information through operating-system features, device backups, diagnostics or app distribution according to your settings and Apple's Privacy Policy. If you choose to share diagnostics with Apple and developers, Apple may make crash reports or app statistics available to us. Zazn does not operate those services or include a separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
Links in legal pages and Credits open external websites only when you choose them. Those sites may receive information such as your IP address and browser details under their own privacy policies. Reading Zazn's bundled policy, terms, credits or font licences does not load a website. This policy does not cover the separate Zazn web prototype or other websites.
Purchases and the free trial
Zazn offers an optional seven-day free trial and a one-time lifetime unlock through Apple's in-app purchase system. The trial does not automatically charge you or renew as a subscription. Apple handles purchase confirmation, payment details, refunds and restoration under Apple's privacy policy. Zazn does not receive your payment card details.
The app reads purchase transactions verified by Apple to determine whether your trial or lifetime access is available. This includes transaction and original transaction identifiers, the product purchased, the original purchase date and any revocation information. StoreKit can retain transaction information on your device so previously verified access works offline. Zazn does not send these transactions or your meditation activity to a developer-operated server.
The app keeps a date on your device to help prevent a trial from restarting when the device clock moves backward. Restoring purchases checks your Apple Account with Apple and preserves the original trial date; it does not start another trial. We do not receive a copy of these transactions on our own servers. Use Apple's purchase and refund services for billing requests.
Security
Local preferences use iOS app storage. Protecting your device and email account also helps protect this information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so avoid sending sensitive personal information in feedback.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy and its effective date when Zazn's privacy practices change. The current policy is available in Settings.
